Societies Influences :: essays research papers

Societies Influence Society seems to influence completely ages by poisioning our minds with lies and aggression. Aggression and hockey game have gone together as long as bids have been around, be it the p enterers themselves, to the parents, coaches, friends, they just seem to be an inseparable part of each other. The term force play is defined as physical assualt based on total disregard for the well be of self and others, or the intent to injure another person. Hockey seems to be promoting violence by broadcasting it all all over the world publicizing it to all children. There is no room for violence in our keen game from my prospective. I have been around this game my entire intent and I dont believe we need to make violence a part of it. I have seen to m any(prenominal) injuries, to many concusions, overturned wrists and broken faces. I have seen twelve category old kids seek to kick each other with skates on. All this is a mentality, that is taught to us hockey fra uds. This lesson is to be rutheless to anyone and everyone. I remember my very fist lesson I was in my first year in the rep system. I was fourteen and at that age I was very large for my size. My ncoach between the first and min period told me that if I didnt go out there and lay a bone crushing body check that I was sack to sit next game. He believed that all I was good for was to be violent. I was fourteen scared out of my mind and my next switching I went out there and just crushed a player from the opposing team. From that point on all my coach wanted me to do for the rest of the season was fight. That year when I was fourteen I fought over twenty times in that season because of the surrounding pressing. The worst year of my life and I never ever want to see or hear of a player put in that position I was in. The game of hockey has always been violent to an extent like any other sport but in our up and coming family it seems that violence is influencing our game of hockey. In conclusion, I believe that if hockey the sport should continue we as a society should stop putting pressure on our children and friends and just let them have fun.
